The post holder may be required to work at off-site venues and within partnership schools across Southampton City.

As our Safeguarding, Attendance and Guidance Coordinator, you will play an integral role in promoting the safety, wellbeing, and educational engagement of our pupils. You will join a school with a well-established and robust safeguarding culture, where this role is central to supporting families, leading effective multi-agency collaboration, and guiding pupils towards positive next steps in education, training, or employment.
Purpose of the Role
- To undertake the role of a DSLO across the school
- To deputise as the deputy designated Safeguarding Lead Officer in accordance with school Safeguarding and child protection policies
- To provide effective training for staff (including supply) and visitors accordingly
- To take a lead role in the co-ordination and development of effective systems and strategies for managing and ensuring safeguarding practice across the school including the attendance, well-being and specific needs of pupils
- To lead and manage Careers, Education, Information, Advice & Guidance (CEIAG) opportunities and systems across the school by delivering high-quality information, advice, and guidance on careers, education, training, employment, and personal development.
