The Hamble School is looking to appoint a School Attendance Coach. This an exciting opportunity to join The Hamble School. We have been recently graded as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted and we are continuing to ensure that we provide the very best education for all our students.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to be involved in primarily supporting with SEMH and EBSA needs. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the room under the direction of the Attendance and Family Support Manager. The key purpose of the role is providing high quality care and support for a small group of students with a range of needs. This will include the delivery of a range of support intervention packages that will help these students engage and access mainstream provisions.  

The person appointed will:

  • Have a passion for inclusion
  • Be skilled at relating well to children with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties
  • Be able to work proactively, independently, and also as part of a school team
  • Be relentless in enjoying a challenge and infusing their work with hope
  • Be able to hold all children in mind with unconditional positive regard
  • Have an awareness of therapeutic approaches to supporting students
