Our intake numbers are increasing – we currently have 1170 students and are looking to expand our staffing further.
We would like to invite applications for the permanent post of School Inclusion Coach to work in our SEND team. We are seeking to appoint an experienced individual to work with some of our more vulnerable students with SEMH and EBSA needs.
You will be supporting the day-to-day running of the SEND room under the direction of the School Inclusion Officer and SENDCo. The key purpose of the role is to provide high quality care and support for a small group of students with a range of needs. This will include the delivery of support intervention packages that will help these students engage and access mainstream provisions.
The person appointed will:
- Have a passion for inclusion
- Be skilled at relating well to children with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties
- Be able to work proactively, independently, and also as part of a school team
- Be relentless in enjoying a challenge and infusing their work with hope
- Be able to hold all children in mind with unconditional positive regard
- Have an awareness of therapeutic approaches to supporting students
