Job Introduction
Salary: - HCC Grade C FTE £24,405 - £25,430 Actual £21,410.64 - £22,309.92
37 hours per week (8am – 4pm Mon to Thurs & 8am – 3.30pm Fri) Term Time only + 1 week (40 Weeks per Year)
Required as soon as possible to provide administration and Visitor Reception support for the school.
The successful applicant will spend 50% of their working week acting as the first point of contact at our Visitor Reception and the remaining 50% of the week working with our Website and Communications Officer, providing communication support. This will involve:
- Managing our general enquiries inbox
- Sending correspondence to parents/carers via our “Parentmail” system
- Managing and uploading content on Social Media
- Producing weekly bulletins to parents/carers with information on school activities
- Producing a daily bulletin for staff with important information
- Supporting the Website and Communications Officer with website content
Applicants must possess excellent organisational, communication skills and attention to detail, and have proven experience in an administrative role. A friendly, approachable manner is essential as the successful candidate will be the first point of contact with visitors to the school. In addition, we are ideally looking for someone who has the following qualities:
- Experience of managing social media platforms for an organisation, including content planning, scheduling and engagement
- Demonstratable ability to create engaging content for various platforms, such as social media, newsletters, websites
- Experience in copywriting and editing for different communication channels, with a focus on accuracy and maintaining brand voice
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) for website updates
- Experience using Google Sites for internal communications
- Understanding of internal and external communication principles and best practices
