We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated person to join our friendly and hard working team. We are a popular village school, set in the New Forest with excellent facilities and delightful children. 


 The post is a vacancy for a Senior Administrative Assistant to work alongside our Business Manager to provide an effective and efficient administrative support within the school. This pivotal role is central to the effective day-to-day operation of the school, providing high-quality administrative support to staff, pupils, parents, and visitors. We are looking for a flexible team member who brings initiative and team spirit to the role, is very organised and efficient, has a high level of professionalism, is conscientious, pays attention to detail, can multi-task, enjoys working with children and is kind.   As part of our commitment to outdoor learning, you will also join our OPAL team, supervising and facilitating creative play during breaktimes and lunchtimes. Qualities of diplomacy and tact and a good working knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the appropriate sharing of pupil information are essential too.

 

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel and Management Information Systems (MIS), with experience of SIMS being advantageous. They will be able to maintain professionalism in a busy school environment and will be expected to work in partnership with the Business Manager to ensure the successful completion of administration tasks.

 

Previous experience of working within a school setting or in a senior administrative position is essential. Candidates must also hold GCSE qualifications in English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above (or an equivalent qualification).

 

The hours are 37 hours per week working 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday – Thursday with a 30 minute lunch break and Fridays 8.30am – 4.00pm with a 30 minute lunch break, 5 days a week, 40 weeks of the year. Pay will be on Grade C £25,186 - £26,244 pro rata. (hourly rate £13.05 – £13.60) depending on experience and qualifications.
