Hours of work: 37 per week (Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm, Friday 8am to 3.30pm)
Term Time, plus 3 additional weeks
Salary Details: Grade D: FTE £26,918 - £29,616 / Pro Rata: 37 Hours £24,795 - £27,281

Forest Park School, is a Hampshire local authority maintained special school. We provide education for children and young people aged 2-19 years with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties, many of whom have autism. The split-site school (Primary and Secondary) is situated in Totton.

We would like to appoint a hardworking and efficient Senior Admin Officer to join and lead, our friendly school office team. The role of Senior Admin Officer is central to the effective running of the school’s day to day communication and administration in our busy school office. This is a varied role and an exciting opportunity for the right person.
Experience in school administration is highly desirable, but candidates with the right experience, skills and qualities for the role are very welcome. The successful candidate will need to have the ability to work quickly, be self-motivated, flexible, trustworthy and have excellent organisation skills. They need to be able to communicate at all levels and be committed to supporting the welfare of the children.
Managing a small team, you will provide comprehensive and efficient administrative support ensuring that a high quality and effective service is delivered at all times, including providing administrative support for the Headteacher and Senior Leaders.
The candidate will also need to hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work, as we are a split-site school.
The successful candidate will:

- Have excellent written and good numeracy skills
- Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Publisher
- Ideally have experience with school-based systems such as Arbor
- Be able to organise ‘hospitality’ for meetings, Governors and training days.
- Be integral to the organisation of whole school events such as fayres.
