Senior Adminstrative Officer

Job Introduction

Senior Administrative Officer

37 hours per week

39 weeks term time – plus one extra week

Grade E

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a well organised and efficient Senior Administrative Officer to join our excellent administrative team.

The successful applicant will be an excellent multi-tasker, working to tight deadlines and organising your own workload. You will need excellent communication and ICT skills, be able to remain calm under pressure and have a good sense of humour. Building on your previous experience of working in a busy office environment, you will use this to lead the office team and work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure the school operates efficiently, delivers high-quality services, and supports the needs of pupils, staff, parents, and the wider community.

This is a pivotal senior role within the school, combining strategic leadership with hands-on responsibility for office management, finance (preparing and monitoring the school budget), personnel and payroll, safeguarding, compliance, and day-to-day administration. You will line manage the Administrative team, Site Team and work alongside the Site Manager to deal with Health and Safety and premises issues.  You will also be the Data Protection Officer for the school.

Knowledge of SAP software, experience of Abor and HCC Personnel procedures and practice is desirable, although appropriate training will be given.  A formal relevant higher-level qualification is desirable but is not essential.
