Senior Site Manager

We are seeking a Senior Site Manager to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is a key role ensuring our large, vibrant school is safe, secure, and well-maintained. 


This is a 37-hour per week position, to be worked between 7:00am and 6:30pm, alongside a full-time Site Assistant.  The proposed working pattern is:

  • Monday: 11:00am - 6:30pm (30-minute lunch break)
  • Tuesday - Friday: 7:00am - 3.30pm (1-hour for lunch break)

Alternative working hours and pattern may be considered for the right candidate.


We are looking for someone who can:

  • Lead and manage all site operations, including security, cleaning, maintenance, and health & safety compliance
  • Ensure the school site and buildings are maintained to a high standard, carrying out minor repairs and liaising with contractors as necessary
  • Oversee cleaning staff and external contractors, ensuring standards are met and work is completed safely and efficiently
  • Manage site budgets in relation to maintenance and repairs, seeking value for money
  • Undertake regular health and safety checks, fire drills, and risk assessments, maintaining accurate records
  • Ensure heating, lighting, and alarm systems are operational and maintained
  • Be a key holder, responsible for opening and securing the school premises
  • Support the school with event setup and day-to-day logistical needs
  • Support sustainability and energy saving initiatives across the site
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment and site supplies
  • Respond to emergency situations such as break-ins, fires or major repairs as required
  • Play a vital part in maintaining a welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors
  • Work flexibly to support the needs of the school
