Site Manager Vacancy
Hours: Part-Time (30 hours per week), 52 weeks per year
From 7am until 6pm Monday to Friday on a daily split shift basis.
Pay: HCC Grade D – Pay Range from £14.40 per hour up to £15.84 per hour (depending on experience).
Actual Pay – from £22,524 to £24,781 (depending on experience)
Leave:- 24 days annual leave per year (to be taken in school holiday periods) plus bank holidays.

We are looking for a proactive and reliable Site Manager to join our team and take responsibility for the overall maintenance, health & safety and security of our school site.
About the Role
The Site Manager plays a key role in ensuring our school is safe, clean and well-maintained. This is a varied and rewarding position involving both practical and administrative responsibilities, including:
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the security of the site, including daily opening and closing of the school
- Managing and carrying out general maintenance, repairs and improvements
- Monitoring and maintaining heating, lighting and alarm systems
- Ensuring the site complies with health and safety requirements and Hampshire County Council policies
- Managing contractors on site and overseeing planned maintenance schedules
- Conducting regular site inspections and maintaining accurate records
- Supervising cleaning staff and ensuring high standards of cleanliness across the school
- Ordering maintenance supplies and managing the premises budget responsibly
- Supporting the smooth running of school events and activities when required
- Completing all health and safety risk assessments on behalf of the school
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Practical, resourceful and able to carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks
- Organised and able to manage workloads, schedules and paperwork effectively
- Committed to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety
- A strong communicator who can work well with staff, contractors and the wider school community
- Positive, approachable and committed to supporting the school’s values
- Willing to undertake relevant training
Previous experience in a similar role and/or a good understanding of building maintenance, compliance and site management is desirable, but not essential—we welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills.
