Redlands Primary School is seeking an inspirational, knowledgeable and passionate SENCO to lead and further develop our SEND provision at an exciting time in our school's journey.
Redlands is a successful, friendly and highly regarded primary school at the heart of a supportive community. With 315 pupils across 11 classes, including two discrete Year R classes and mixed-age classes throughout the rest of the school, we are proud of the caring relationships that underpin our work and the high aspirations we have for every child.

The Role
As SENCO, you will provide strategic leadership alongside the Assistant Headteacher for SEND across the school, ensuring that pupils with additional needs receive high-quality provision that enables them to thrive.
You will:
- Lead and manage SEND provision across the school.
- Work collaboratively with the Assistant Headteacher and staff to ensure inclusive, high-quality teaching for all pupils.
- Support teachers in identifying barriers to learning and implementing effective interventions, demonstrate effective ordinarily available provision and advocate for our most vulnerable pupils.
- Monitor the progress and achievement of pupils with SEND and vulnerable groups.
- Work closely with parents,carersand external agencies to secure the best outcomes for children.
- Manage Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes and annual reviews.
- Lead staff training and contribute to whole-school improvement.
- Champion inclusion and ensure pupils' voices are heard and valued.
- Play an active role as part of the school's wider leadership team.

- Has a strong understanding of SEND legislation,practiceand provision.

- Is resilient, solution-focusedand passionate about making a difference.
- Has the vision and drive to respond effectively to increasing SEND needs within a mainstream primary setting.
