We are looking for a Special Needs Assistant to workwith specific children with SEND. Special Needs Assistants at St Francis also undertakea mixture of roles, from supporting individuals or small groups to working with the class teacher to support pupils within class. Responsibilities will also require you to prepare activities and resources in consultation with the class teacher and SENCo,implement advice from external agencies as well as monitor and record progress. This role could also include personal intimate care and medical care forwhich training will be provided.

Candidates will be required to have a minimum of English and Maths to GCSE grade C or equivalent. Ideally, experience of working with children would be an advantage.

Working pattern

We have a need for: 1 member of staff full time, term time (Monday- Friday 8.30-3.20 with a 20 minute break)1 member of staff Monday and Tuesday mornings (8.30-1.00).
