Job/Person Summary
We are seeking to appoint a friendly, caring, enthusiastic and experienced Special needs Assistant to work with individual children or a small group of children to offer support by providing high quality care and education for children.
Applicants need to be:
- Confident, reliable and adaptable and have experience of working with children aged 4-7 years
- Have a real understanding of pupils with SEND including associated SEMH needs
- Be able to adapt teaching and supportive styles to meet the needs of the pupil and their executive functioning skills
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills and act on own initiative at times
- Have an understanding or experience of following and supporting an EHCP document

This is initially a fixed term contract for one year but there is the possibility that it will be extended from September 2027
