Job Introduction
Are you ready to take the next step in your teaching career and make an extraordinary impact?
We are seeking a passionate, creative and dedicated teacher to join the exceptional team at Norman Gate School.
Norman Gate is a welcoming, supportive and inclusive SEND primary and nursery provision where every day brings new opportunities, every child is valued, and every achievement is celebrated. We are proud to provide a nurturing environment that enables pupils to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
At Norman Gate, we educate and support children with a diverse range of needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties, communication and language needs, autism and ADHD. Working with small class sizes of up to 12 pupils, you will be part of a highly skilled and collaborative class team, who have a shared commitment to helping every child learn, thrive and achieve their best.
Our core values are Teamwork, Positivity, Respect, Independence, Curiosity and Courage and are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for an inspirational teacher who not only shares these values but embodies them in their daily practice, bringing energy, creativity, compassion and enthusiasm to the classroom.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with additional needs and who thrives in a supportive, forward-thinking school community.
We are looking for someone who can:
Deliver exciting, high-quality classroom practice
Adapt their teaching to meet the diverse needs of learners
Communicate confidently and build strong relationships with pupils, families, colleagues and other professionals
Motivate, challenge and inspire every child to reach their potential
Show resilience, great organisation and a reflective approach to self-improvement
We are looking for someone to join our team in September.
In return, we offer:
A welcoming, well-resourced school with a strong sense of belonging
Supportive, experienced colleagues who work brilliantly as a team
Exceptional commitment to your continued professional development and wellbeing
A rewarding role where you will genuinely make a difference every single day
PPA can be taken from home (and is typically allocated as a whole day, fortnighly)
We would love to hear from teachers with experience in special education, but we also warmly welcome applications from mainstream teachers who are excited by the challenge and joy of working with pupils with SEND.
Full time of part time would be considered for the right candidate.
If you’re ready to help our brilliant children grow in confidence, curiosity and independence and want to be part of something truly special, we would be delighted to receive your application.
