About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional and inspirational teacher to join a dedicated, friendly, and skilled department who work collaboratively to deliver an engaging, creative and personalised curriculum. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that support, stretch, and inspire students of all abilities.
- Contributing to the development and refinement of a well-rounded and inclusive curriculum.
- Using a range of assessment strategies to track progress and identify areas of development misconceptions informing teaching and learning.
- Creating a purposeful, supportive classroom environment where students feel a sense of belonging.
- Collaborating with colleagues to model best practice and to continually improve the life chances of the students you work with
- Engaging in ongoing professional development opportunities to contribute to the development of SEND within internal provisions and the wider school.

Experience of, and an interest in, a range of subjects including the teaching of science and mathematics is desirable, however, we welcome applications from teachers with a genuine willingness to learn.
Essential
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS or equivalent).
- The ability to plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that caters effectively for the individual learning needs of all students in a class
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents / carers and colleagues
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively in a busy school environment.
- A reflective, proactive and professional approach to continuous professional development
- Demonstration of commitment, drive and enthusiasm in curriculum delivery
- Proven skills in assessing, monitoring and evaluating students progress
- Ability to be flexible in response to students’ learning needs and responses
- Proven skills in positively managing students’ behaviour
- Be a positive role model and lead by example
- A commitment to inclusive practice, safeguarding, and the welfare of young people.
Desirable
- Experience of teaching pupils with learning difficulties within Key Stages Two / Three
- Experience in planning and managing the work of additional adults & to lead, motivate and support colleagues
- Working knowledge of current national frameworks for education and special educational needs
- Knowledge of specific approaches to working with children with a variety of additional needs
- Sets high personal standards and is able to challenge own work and the work of others in a professional manner
- Willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities, enrichment, or wider school initiatives.
