Job Introduction
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, passionate and inspirational Design and Technology professional. Working with the Head of Faculty for Technology, you will be responsible for driving high standards and engaging all pupils in their learning through innovative curriculum design. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the department, ensuring our pupils have the appropriate design and technology skills, alongside employability skills to thrive in the 21st Century.

Key Responsibilities
- To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced and engaging curriculum for pupils and to support the curriculum area as appropriate.
- To plan engaging and ambitious schemes of learning and lessons, to monitor and support the overall progress and development of pupils, adapting practice to ensure the needs of all pupils are met, as a teacher and tutor.
- To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides pupils with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
- To contribute to raising standards of pupil’s attainment and outcomes within the faculty.
- To share and support the school and Trust’s ethos and culture building an ambitious and inclusive learning environment, where excellence becomes habit and success is experienced by all.
- To work closely with all stakeholders to ensure pupils are well supported and barriers to learning are removed.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status with a degree in Design and Technology or related subject
- Strong understanding of current educational developments in Design and Technology
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
