Job Introduction
Teacher of Geography
Full Time, Permanent
Start date: Autumn 1
Cantell School is proud to be a heavily oversubscribed, inclusive comprehensive school with a student intake that reflects a wonderfully diverse and vibrant local community. Our fundamental mission is to provide an exceptional learning experience for every student so that they may lead a happy and successful life now and in the future.
In March 2024, we were judged outstanding in all areas by Ofsted. Whilst we are honoured to receive such an accolade, we must be clear that this does not define us. What makes us stand out in the crowd is the strength of relationships between our diverse student and staff body. It is one of the reasons why Cantell is a great place for students to learn and staff to work!
Our School
“Pupils are rightly proud to attend Cantell School. They feel happy, safe and well cared for. Pupils enjoy being part of the ‘Cantell Family’. They like the school’s diversity. As one pupil said, ‘It is a vibrant place to learn.’”

In doing so, we seek to EMPOWER* students to be active, respectful members of modern Britain and the modern world, embodying our community values.
*EMPOWERED – Cantell actively promotes eight key EMPOWER skills which students will need to thrive in the workplace (Leadership, Organisation, Resilience, Initiative, Communication, Independence, Innovation + Entrepreneurship).
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and be part of the Cantell family. The successful candidate will continue to build on our success, showing the drive and determination for continuing school improvement and raising attainment.
