We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This role offers the unique opportunity to work closely with teachers to support the academic and social progress of our wonderful children, helping to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
Key responsibilities:
- work in partnership with the class teacher to support children’s learning and development
- assist with classroom activities, both academic and social, ensuring all children feel included and supported
- support individual children and small groups to help them achieve their full potential
- help maintain a safe, welcoming, and positive classroom environment
- contribute to ongoing assessment and feedback on pupil progress
- participate in relevant professional development opportunities to enhance your skills

We are looking for someone who has:
- ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff to support pupils’ academic and social progress
- enthusiasm for working in a child-centred, community-focused school
- experience or a strong interest in working with young children in an educational setting
- good communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
- patience, kindness, and a nurturing approach to supporting children’s needs
- a warm and compassionate approach to supporting children
- flexibility and a positive, can-do attitude that encourages children
- commitment to maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour and in helping every child succeed
- is keen to learn and develop their own knowledge and skills to support children’s learning
- a sense of humour!
The successful candidate(s) will have English and Maths qualifications to at least GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent.
