Contract/Hours: Mix of permanent and fixed term (till 31.8.2027); term-time only

Salary: Support Staff Grade C, pro rata of £25,186 - £26,244 FTE, dependant on hours per week and weeks per year.

Hours of work: 

Position 1: 8:30 – 3:00 daily 29.25 hours a week - Permanent

Position 2: 8:30 – 3:00 daily 29.25 hours a week – Fixed Term 

Position 3: 12.00 – 3.05 daily 15.25 hours a week – Fixed term 

Position 4: 12.00 – 3.05 daily 15.25 hours a week – Fixed term 

 

Hart Plain Junior School is seeking to appoint enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team in making a difference to the lives of young people.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has an ability to keep succinct records of involvement

  • Is a committed team member, willing to support and learn from colleagues
  • Is able to work closely and effectively with the Class Teacher and SENDCo
  • Has high expectations and is able to work confidently and effectively with children
  • Has an understanding and experience of challenging behaviour and is able to support pupils with emotional needs with a curious not furious approach

 

In addition to the above criteria, the following are desirable:

 

  • Has experience of supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Minimum of Grade C at GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Experience of working in supporting Maths and English at KS2
