Wraparound Club Leader

Job Introduction

Kings Copse Primary School is seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Wraparound Club Leader to join our new Thrive Club team, supporting children before and after the school day.

Thrive Club provides a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where children feel valued and supported. Rooted in the values of Kings Copse Primary School, our wraparound provision offers calm, creative and active experiences that promote wellbeing, independence and a strong sense of belonging.

 

About the Role

As a Wraparound Care Worker, you will play a key role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children attending Thrive Club. You will support children’s play, wellbeing and social development, ensuring they start and finish their day feeling happy, settled and cared for.

 

The role includes morning and afternoon sessions, depending on availability and the needs of the provision.

 

Key Responsibilities

Wraparound cub leader

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative and age‑appropriate activities
  • Supervise and engage children in a range of calm, creative and active activities both indoors and outdoors.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and report any issues to the appropriate staff.
  • Create a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all children
  • Support children’s wellbeing, independence and positive behaviour
  • Prepare and serve simple snacks in line with food hygiene guidance
  • Work as part of a consistent and supportive team
  • Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure play equipment and materials are safe, clean and well maintained
  • Assist with tidying and clearing the room at the end of each session
  • Support basic first aid and hygiene arrangements (training can be provided if required)
  • Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with parents and carers, reflecting the school’s commitment to partnership working

  • Can communicate positively with children, parents and colleagues
  • Works well as part of a team with a professional attitude
  • Is able to use their own initiative
  • Has a positive approach that support the school’s visions and values
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare

 

Experience of working with children is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided.
