Job Introduction
We are looking to appoint a Supervisory Assistant
to support in our ‘Treetops’ Wraparound Club from September 2026
The successful candidate will need to:
- Provide a safe and caring environment that meets the care and play needs of the children
- Have a positive and fair approach to behaviour management
- Be a team player assisting with the day to day running of the sessions
- Promotion of ‘positive play’ by supporting the setting up of varied activities over the course of the week. Work with the children, by using pupil voice, in the selection of the different activities within the provision over the course of the week. Play alongside the children and model appropriate play and reinforce and reward the children using the SCARF values, in-line with the behaviour policy
- Assisting the children with their breakfast or snack and support the opening of any food items, if needed
- Support children with basic skills, like putting their coat on when playing outside
- Basic first aid given and recording appropriately following the school policy for ‘Bumps and Grazes’ and any head traumas
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers building and maintaining relationships.
As well as:
- Be prepared to undertake further professional development including Food Handling and First Aid Training
- Have experience working with children
- Have a positive outlook and a sense of humour
Contract/Hours: Permanent/7:40-8:40am & 3:20-6:00pm Monday to Friday (Term Time only)
Pay: Grade A = £12.56 per hour (£24,225 FTE, £8,400 actual, plus overtime)

Although the After School hours are until 6pm, as soon as all children have left after 5:20pm you will be able to leave (all hours from 5:20-6pm are claimed as overtime).
