Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic teacher to join our warm and friendly team from September 2025. Our experienced Year 1/2 teacher is returning from maternity leave and will be working part time, meaning we now have a teaching vacancy in our Year 1/2 class on Mondays and Tuesdays.
We are a small, village school with fabulous grounds and close links to our local church and community. We had our latest OFSTED inspection in February 2025 and were graded Good in all areas, with inspectors highlighting how happy and respectful our pupils are, our strong inclusive ethos and the high expectations of behaviour we hold.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a strong and reflective teacher.
- Is committed to valuing every child, finding ways to adapt teaching to ensure all children can make progress and succeed in lessons.
- Has high expectations of behaviour and is able to use a range of positive behaviour management strategies in their classroom.
- Works well as part of a team and is willing to contribute to the wider school life.
- Has experience working in Key Stage 1.
In return, we can offer you a great place to work, where staff are positive and passionate about the difference they make to our pupils. We have a strong, experienced team of teachers who are willing to help and support and we will provide regular, quality professional development opportunities. Most importantly, we can offer you pupils who are happy and engaged in their learning.
This vacancy is suitable for an ECT or experienced teacher. We also have a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday class teacher position in our Year 5/6 class, so the roles could be combined for one full time teacher for the right candidate.
We would love to show you round our school and answer any questions. Please contact the school office on 01730 823218 or email adminoffice@eastmeon.hants.sch.uk to arrange a visit.
