Teacher of Mathematics
Due to an increase in pupil admissions, we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic teacher with a passion for Maths to join us on our secondary site from September 2025.
The Maths Department is well resourced and committed to raising achievement across Key Stages 3 & 4. This position would suit an ECT or someone with more experience. A start date of 1st July is available for ECTs.
The successful applicant will:
- Be confident teaching all areas of Maths at Key Stage 3 and 4
- Provide high quality teaching in the subject area whereby students make excellent progress over time and are suitably challenged
- Actively promote student achievement through frequent teacher assessment and feedback
- Adapt teaching, learning and assessment to enable all students to access learning
Alderwood is an all-through 4 – 16 school based on 3 sites, which opens up lots of exciting opportunities for the successful candidate. We are currently working on a 4-16 Maths curriculum and have established excellent links across all 3 sites.
