Year Leader Position with Subject Responsibility

 

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspirational teacher to join Freegrounds Junior School as a Year Leader.

This post is ideal for an excellent classroom practitioner who is passionate about improving outcomes for all pupils and who is ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. As Year Leader, you will oversee a year group team, supporting high‑quality teaching and learning, securing strong progress for all pupils, and contributing to whole‑school improvement.

You will receive significant and regular support from our Senior Leadership Team, who are committed to developing future leaders and providing high‑quality professional development. This role carries a TLR 2, recognising both leadership responsibility and impact.

  • can analyse pupil progress data and use it to drive improvement
  • are reflective and committed to a personalised programme of professional development
  • work collaboratively and contribute positively to a team culture
  • are keen to take a full and active role in the wider life of the school
  • have a strong understanding of child development across the primary years
