We have an exciting teaching / leadership vacancy at Alderwood School. This vacancy is for a Year Leader / Class Teacher who will be based either on the infant or the junior site. The position could be within any key stage in the primary range, and we would welcome any preferences to be stated on your application form.
As Year Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of 3 teachers, plus support staff. The Year Leader will take a lead role in planning and curriculum development for their particular year group, whilst also contributing to CPD for staff and keeping a close eye on pupil outcomes, behaviour and welfare. It is the perfect role for a teacher who wants to take the first step on the school leadership ladder.
We are looking to appoint an excellent teacher and aspiring leader who has high expectations for all pupils and who can help us to build on our collective successes to create a truly exceptional school. We are looking for someone who:
- Is an excellent classroom teacher
- Has high expectations of learning and behaviour in the classroom
- Is creative and full of enthusiasm
- Would enjoy working as part of our friendly and helpful team
- Can demonstrate good interpersonal skills
