Job Introduction

Job/Person Summary

We are looking to appoint a friendly, enthusiastic and flexible person to join our school office administrative team.   

Do you have?

- The versatility and flexibility required to work in a busy school office environment

- Relevant previous administration experience

- Experience in a range of computer software tools especially Microsoft office – Word and Google

                

- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (Grade C or above)

- Excellent organisation and communication skills

 

If so, then you could be South Farnborough Infant School’s new Admin Assistant

 

Main duties will include:

Customer Service

  • Welcoming all visitors to our school, ensuring the school policy for safeguarding is adhered to, issuing of visitor badges and monitoring access to restricted areas
  • Responding to enquiries, dealing with children arriving late to school, 
  • Answering telephone, filtering calls, e-mails and school post. Taking messages, making sure they are delivered in a timely fashion

Welfare

  • Providing welfare support to pupils including provision of first aid where appropriate
  • Administering medication as required.

 

 

Administration/Finance Support

  • Using Arbor, and any other computer applications necessary to perform the role
  • Carrying out stationery and first aid stock control
  • Checking and distributing deliveries into school
  • Supporting Senior Admin Officer and Headteacher as required
  • Preparing, amending and sending parental letters as required
