Administration Assistant - Supporting SEND

Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Administrative Assistant to join our inclusive secondary school team.

This vital role involves providing comprehensive administrative support for our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities department, including maintaining accurate SEND records, coordinating annual reviews and EHCP meetings, liaising with external agencies and parents, and supporting the SENCO with data management and reporting. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and experience working with sensitive information in a professional environment. You will be responsible for tracking student progress, managing referrals, preparing documentation for statutory assessments, and ensuring compliance with SEND regulations. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in supporting students with additional needs while working collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals. We welcome applications from candidates with strong administrative skills and a commitment to supporting young people, with full training provided on SEND processes and school systems.

The successful candidate will be:

- Confident and have a positive approach to working with children
 - Keen to learn and develop professionally
 - Able to work on their own initiative
 - Pro-active team member, committed to raising standards and achievements
 - Have a passion for education and raising the achievement of all children

Previous experience of work in a school and a working knowledge of Arbor would be a significant advantage but is not an essential requirement. Excellent communication and ICT skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are essential.
