An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team here at Grateley Primary School.
Grateley Primary School is a small, friendly village school with a real family feel. We are a supportive, kind, and hardworking team. We are looking for a dedicated Admin Assistant to join our team and to support our Head teacher and School Business Manager from 1st September 2026.
Your role will be vital in assisting with the smooth running of the school. This will include general daily administration and attendance tasks as well as being the first point of contact for families and visitors. Working alongside our School Business Manager and the Head teacher, you will also play a key role in maintaining our strong attendance culture and managing new admissions into school. Above all else, we are looking to recruit a team member with a positive approach and attitude and an aptitude for admin work.
The hours are 8:30am - 1pm five days a week, term time plus INSET days only.

We are looking for an Admin Assistant who is the first point of contact for the school and it is essential they are able to consistently promote our values to all visitors.
- Have a commitment to the well-being and safeguarding of children.
- Have experience of working in a busy admin environment.
- Be friendly, but professional and discreet, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Be conscientious – ensuring that tasks are finished to a high standard
- Have excellent communication skills- with adults and children, verbally and written.
- Be Flexible and adaptable as the needs of the school day can change
- Be efficient yet through, with a good attention to detail.
- Be able to manage administrative tasks methodically and accurately.
- An effective communicator and can build positive relationships with colleagues, parents and children.
- Be willing to undertake first aid responsibility (training provided)
- Confident in using/willing to learn various IT school based systems (Scopay, CPOMS, Arbor.)
