We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to join our welcoming office team at Peel Common Primary School. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a vibrant primary school where staff are committed to providing the very best for our children. Our office is at the heart of the school, and we pride ourselves on maintaining a warm, professional and supportive environment for pupils, parents and colleagues alike.
About the role.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office. Duties will include:
- Providing administrative support to the school team
- Acting as a first point of contact for parents and visitors
- Maintaining accurate pupil records using the school’s MIS system
- Supporting communication across the school (including emails, letters and newsletters)
- Assisting with website updates and management
- General office duties such as filing, data entry and responding to enquiries
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working in an administrative role
- Has good IT skills, including experience of MIS systems (or the willingness to learn)
- Is organised, efficient and able to prioritise workload
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is friendly, approachable and enjoys working as part of a team
- Maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
