Finance officer
Job/person summary
Financial management:
- Share a variety of financial statements and reports as required by the headteacher.
- Ensure that spending is allocated to the correct budget code and reviews for the headteacher
- Processes invoices, orders and balance credit cards and post items onto the budgeting system
- Have overall responsibility of banking of all monies received by the school and reconciling on Tucasi.
- Assist with school lettings as directed e.g processing lettings forms.
- Chasing debts
Human Resources:
- Maintaining staff, governor and volunteer HR files in an accurate and confidential manner
- Maintaining the Single Central Register (SCR)
- Support the Headteacher with the recruitment process of new staff
- Maintain staff records, change in pay, leavers.
Administration
- Complete administrative roles in the absence of any office team members
- Assist in the completion of data collections and returns e.g the school census
- Handle sensitive and or confidential data in adherence with the relevant data protection regulations
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills to support governors, staff, pupils, parents and external organisations.
General responsibilities
- Understand and follow all relevant school policies
- Attend and participate in training and development courses as required
- Be a role model for the standards of behaviour expected of the pupils
- Undertake reasonable additional duties as requested by your line manager.

- Has excellent numeracy skills and understand and analyses data to identify options and make recommendations.
- Has excellent IT skills and is willing to develop new skills
- Prioritises safeguarding and maintains confidentiality
- Is reliable, trustworthy and conscientious.
