We are looking to appoint a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant to join our busy school office team from 1st September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing excellent service to pupils, parents, staff and visitors.
As the first point of contact for visitors to the school, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office while helping to create a welcoming and professional environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
- Act as the first point of contact for general parent/pupil/visitor enquiries
- Assist with pupil attendance records and monitor daily attendance
- Administer school meal bookings and records
- Coordinate and administer school trips, including permissions, payments and communications
- Provide general administrative support to school staff and parents
- Support the smooth operation of the school reception and front-of-house service
- Order and maintain stocks of school supplies
- Producing routine correspondence, letters and reports
- Maintain pupil records and school databases
- Support wider school events and activities.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Is confident using Google Workspace applications, including Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Gmail, and is willing to learn or has experience of school management systems
- Can manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Has a professional, friendly and approachable manner
- Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail
- Enjoys working as part of a team and building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Has GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
