Core Hours 18.75 per week, 8:15—15:00, 3 days per week
39 working weeks per year
Grade C (Actual salary £10,914)

We are looking to appoint a confident, highly motivated individual as a Reading Intervention Tutor to support our weak readers in Years 7–11. You will deliver a literacy intervention programme called ‘Thinking Reading’. Full training will be provided as well as ongoing support and you will work alongside a small team of other Thinking Reading tutors.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about literacy and will have excellent spoken and written English. Our Thinking Reading Tutors will work with students one to one, so the ability to form positive relationships is essential. Candidates must be educated to A level standard, or equivalent. You should have experience with working to a schedule, meeting deadlines and should be competent with basic IT skills (email, database entry). This will be a rewarding role for the successful candidate, as you will be joining a supportive and dedicated team that makes a positive impact on the life chances of our students.
