Job/Person Summary

 

An opportunity has arisen for a friendly and enthusiastic Admin Assistant to join our school office team. As you will often be the first point of contact for the school, you will need to be welcoming and able to communicate effectively in a warm and professional manner with parents, pupils, staff, governors and visitors. 

 

As part of a very busy office team, you will be public facing.   Dealing with people from first thing in the morning until your step out of the door at the end of the day. You will be working in our busy school office alongside our Business and Administrations Manager officer and SIMs Manager, dealing with a wide range of tasks including reception duties, general administrative tasks and assisting with pupil welfare. 

The contract is for 31 hours per week working 4 days term time only. There may be potential in the future to increase to 5 days a week.

  • is professional, discreet and able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • is forward-thinking, adaptable and willing to embrace new ideas.
  • has Maths and English GCSE to grade C or above.
  • is First Aid qualified or prepared to become first aid trained.
  • has IT skills and is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of Sims and Tucasi is desirable, but not essential as training will be given.
  • Assist with management of school stock.
  • Assist with producing school and staff newsletters. Keeping parents and staff up to date with all that is happening at the school.
