We are looking to appoint an amazing Admin Assistant to join the team in our busy school office in the heart of beautiful Hampshire.

We are a warm and friendly primary school with a strong community ethos.  All the work we do is underpinned by our Christian values of Friendship, Respect, Achievement and Faith.

The successful candidate will be the first person that visitors to the school will meet and will need a friendly and welcoming attitude. The role would suit someone with school or other administration experience who can apply their skills to a new setting. 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Enjoy working in a school environment.
  • Be confident, caring and highly organised, with the ability to stay calm and prioritise effectively and work accurately in an environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to establish good relationships and to undertake Reception duties, being warm and welcoming as the first point of contact for parents, contractors, and other visitors.
  • Be professional in communications with all stakeholders including answering the telephone, compiling and sending texts, emails, letters and newsletters, and be able to promptly handle or redirect enquiries and requests.
  • Be confident to solve problems and work well with others whilst also showing initiative when working independently.
  • Record and monitor children’s attendance using Arbor, update and maintain pupil’s records and support with wide-ranging administration tasks, as required.
  • Have confident IT skills. 
  • Be competent and sympathetic when dealing with pupils’ welfare needs including administration of first aid and medicines (first aid training will be provided).
  • Be reliable, punctual, adaptable and flexible and work in an efficient and tidy manner.
  • Appreciate the importance of confidentiality, data protection, and safeguarding.

 The successful candidate will work 30 hours across Monday to Friday, term time only (40 weeks per year).

Shortlisting will take place on the Monday the 11th November 2024.  

Interviews: Thursday 14 November 2024.

Job start date: Monday 6th January 2024.

 Candidate must be available for at least a week in December for hand over.
