Job/Person Summary
We are looking for an assistant who is kind, nurturing and fun to assist with the management of the day to day running of the provision, ensuring that the service meets the care, play and educational needs of the children efficiently, as well as satisfying Government guidelines. Relevant qualifications and previous experience are desirable, but training can be given to the right candidate.
Main duties: -
- Assist in preparation of room and resources in advance and ensure that play equipment/materials are in good and usable condition.
- Assist in clearing away the room at the end of the session.
- Team work – Undertake the duties of the role in accordance with the correct procedures relating to the Children’s Act, OFSTED standards, Child Protection, Equalities and Health and Safety issues.
- Contribute to the continued development of the service providing a high professional standard of care. First Aid, basic hygiene arrangements.
- Work with the After School Club leader to organise creative activities suited to the age range of the children using the club
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents & carers.
