We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity to train as a Postgraduate Teacher Apprentice (PGTA) here at The Henry Beaufort School in partnership with South Farnham SCITT, an Ofsted Outstanding provider of Initial Teacher Training.

About the Role:

As a PGTA at The Henry Beaufort School, you will:  

  • Be employed by the school as an unqualified teacher.  
  • Train in a highly supportive and vibrant school community.   
  • Bene t from a structured programme combining school-based experience with expert-led training days.  
  • Gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) awarded by South Farnham SCITT.    
  • Have the option to study for a PGCE from the University of Brighton (fees apply)  
  • Develop as a confident, reflective practitioner, learning alongside experienced colleagues.

Subjects Available:

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic mathematician to join our highly motivated, high-performing, and hard-working Mathematics team. As a team we also offer the Statistics GCSE course and students are given the opportunity to enter further Maths GCSE, taught in the top sets. Within maths you will have some timetabled lessons of your own and some shared with a substantive teacher.

Entry Requirements:  

  • A degree in maths (2:2 or above preferred) or subject closely linked to maths.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade 4 or equivalent).  
  • A passion for teaching and commitment to children’s learning.
