The Hamble School is looking to appoint an Associate Assistant Headteachers to increase the capacity of our already-successful Leadership Team.

Our intake numbers are increasing – we currently have 1,090 students. In March 2025 we were graded ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted, and we are committed to continuing to provide the very best education for all our students. This position is ideal for an aspiring senior leader ready to take the next step in their leadership journey. 

The post will support leaders in their next steps into leadership, a bridge between middle leadership and senior leadership. We are looking to appoint dynamic and innovative individuals who have the drive and commitment to give our students the best possible opportunities, inside and outside the classroom. A leader who is committed to development and school improvement.

You will:

  • have a proven track record of leading teams;
  • be able to lead, motivate and inspire students, staff and other stakeholders;
  • show strong analytical skills in order to identify trends and implement school improvement strategies.
