This is an exciting opportunity to join Potley Hill Primary School as we continue to live our values of Dream Big, Aim High and Make a difference across our whole school community.


We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join our team and help lead the work of our new Inclusion Hub.  Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and class teachers, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with additional social, emotional and behavioural needs so they can thrive both within the hub and in mainstream classrooms.


About the Role

  • Support the learning, wellbeing, and personal development of pupils within our inclusion Hub
  • Work with small groups or individual pupils to help them re-engage with the learning and build positive relationships.
  • Implement therapeutic and trauma-informed strategies to help pupils manage behaviour and prepare for everyday challenges.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Headteacher, Inclusion Hub lead and the wider staff to ensure inclusion is at the heart of our school practice.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children who have social, emotional, or mental health (SEMH) needs (essential).
  • Understands or has experience of trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches (desirable).
  • Can remain calm, resilient, and positive when faced with challenges.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, staff and families.
  • Is a team player who is committed to inclusion and equality for every child.
