Job Introduction
Pinewood Infant School is a vibrant, supportive and inclusive, one form entry school based in a modern, well-resourced building, with spacious teaching areas and school grounds which are surrounded by pine trees from which the school takes its name.
We are part of a federation with Guillemont Junior School, providing additional opportunities.
We are looking for an Assistant to join before school Breakfast Club team.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Assist with the reception of children from their parents/carers, settling them into breakfast club.
- Monitor the welfare of the children to ensure their emotional and physical well-being.
- Encourage play between the children and help them to explore and investigate structured play activities and games.
- Assist with the physical needs of children where appropriate including supporting eating breakfast and with toileting if appropriate which could include occasionally changing nappies.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has passion, enthusiasm, patience and a positive outlook.
- Is motivated to support and help children.
- Can be professionally discrete and able to respect confidentiality.
- Has the ability to think on their feet and be highly effective at using their initiative.
