Wraparound Care Assistant
Crofton Hammond Infant School is a 2 form intake school, with a Junior school on the same site. Due to the increasing popularity of our Wraparound Care provision (available to all primary aged children), we are looking for a Wraparound Care Assistant to support our existing team on the following days and times;
- Breakfast Club on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 7:30-08:45
This permanent position will commence from Monday 1st September 2025. The role is offered at a B grade, subject to experience, on a term time only basis. The role involves assisting with play, setting up and facilitating a range of fun games and activities for the children. Main responsibilities include;
- Assisting the team with the day to day running of the provision, ensuring the service meets the care, play and educational needs of the children.
- Receive and welcome each child to the club and ensure their safety and well-being.
- Administer first aid, when required.
- Be pro-active in supporting a lively range of play and activities.
- Provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment where the children want to be.
- Follow relevant school policies and procedures, particularly ensuring compliance with health and safety
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, passionate and an inspirational role model with the ability to build effective working relationships with students, parents/ carers and colleagues. You will need to be sensitive, patient and resilient and be able to respond to individual needs while maintaining a professional approach.
