The Role
We are looking to appoint a Catering Assistant who will play a key role in delivering a high-quality food service to our students. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys food preparation, interacting with young people, and being part of a small, supportive team. You will assist with preparing food for morning and lunchtime breaks, serving meals, and maintaining cleanliness in the canteen. We are particularly looking for someone with a passion for baking to help expand our range of sweet treats.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A genuine interest in food and working with young people.
- A friendly, proactive, and flexible approach.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn and undertake relevant training (experience in catering and a Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification are beneficial but not essential).

Salary: Grade A: £18,993 per annum (FTE: £25,025)
Hours: 32.5 hours per week (8am – 3pm daily)
Contract: Permanent, 39.4 weeks
