About us

Charlton House Independent School is a small, non-selective, co-educational Catholic school for children aged between 3 - 11 years.  We are situated on the outskirts of the city of Southampton and we pride ourselves on providing exceptional learning opportunities, with a wellbeing focus.  The school’s aim is to develop the character and potential of every child.  The Catholic ethos, and the stimulating environment the school fosters, aim to ensure that each pupil has an excellent academic and social grounding as they grow into confident, young people.

Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and innovative class teacher, initially to teach in our Year 5 & 6 class, who can also lead our Forest & Eco School.  Full time and job share applicants will be considered.  

Our Forest and Eco School runs in the afternoons and presents an exciting opportunity for a trained Forest School Lead or someone wishing to train, and teach in our wonderful, enclosed woodland.
