Job Description Cleaner

  • Salary : A grade (£12.71 per hour)

We are looking for a friendly and reliable cleaner who is prepared to undertake cleaning duties for 2.5hrs per day after school (3:00pm - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday). We require someone who is conscientious and prepared to work hard to maintain the current high standards of cleanliness enjoyed by the school.  This role is for 52 weeks a year (not term-time only), with paid annual leave entitlement throughout the year.

 

Responsibilities included in the role:

  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all school users by cleaning effectively to a very high standard. 
  • Working supportively within a team.
  • Working independently.
  •  Being fully aware and adhering to health and safety requirements within school, e.g. undertaking risk assessments before manual handling takes place and in the usage/storage of cleaning materials. 
  • Communicating effectively with others.

 

Capabilities required:

  • Ability to use initiative.
  • Ability to work efficiently without constant direction.
  • Flexible approach. 
  • Ability to recognise what is a high standard of cleanliness and to clean at that level.
