We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking cleaner to join our friendly and supportive team. If you are a dedicated and resilient person who wants to make an impact on the school, then this job is for you.

Maintaining a high level of cleanliness is of the utmost importance to us and we need an individual who is motivated to achieve this for our pupils and staff.

Main duties will include: 

  • Maintain a high standard of cleaning throughout the school
  • Provide a safe working environment whilst dealing with chemicals, ensuring that they are handled in accordance with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
  • Ensure all cleaning schedules and routines are followed to a high standard
  • Consistently and actively apply good housekeeping principles, such as turning off lights and equipment when not in use
  • Undertake any other duties as directed by the Site Manage

Essential: 

  • Effective communicator
  • Polite and well mannered
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliability
  • Able to use own initiative
  • Flexibility of working during school closure periods i.e. able to block hours
  • Experience of cleaning
  • Show an understanding of safety issues in relation to cleaning in school 

Vacancy details: 

  • Salary - Support Staff Grade A3 £23,657 (FTE) Actual Salary £6,394
  • Contract type – Permanent, Part-time
  • Hours – 10 per week, 52 week contract
  • Working details – 5 days per week, Monday to Friday 3.45pm – 5.45pm
