CONTRACT: Permanent
WORK PATTERN: 3 hrs per day, 3:00pm to 6:00pm - 42 weeks per year (can be discussed)
GRADE: 2
SALARY: £24,414 FTE – Actual £9155 for 15 hrs p.w.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cleaner to join our team at Beechwood Junior School, part of Hamwic Education Trust (HET).
HET is a large, fast-paced Trust with currently 35 academies across the South Coast. Linked to 6 community-based partnerships, there are 32 primary academies, 2 secondary and 1 hospital school.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To keep designated areas of the school in a clean and hygienic condition. The designated areas may include classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets and wash areas and may vary between term time and school holiday periods.
JOB SUMMARY
- To clean, wash and sweep the designated areas as appropriate;
- To empty litter and waste bins;
- To polish and dust furniture, fittings and flooring;
- To use powered equipment (e.g. vacuum cleaners, polishers) where appropriate;
- To contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children and adults, adhering to all Health and Safety regulations and requirements.
