The Cleaner plays an important part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the school, helping to create a positive and healthy environment in which young children can learn and thrive.

We are looking for someone who has:
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing a proactive attitude and attention to detail
- A good understanding of cleaning standards and hygiene requirements (training will be provided)
- Good communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with staff and colleagues
- Experience of cleaning in a school or similar environment (desirable but not essential)
- A responsible and trustworthy approach to work
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and polishing
- Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices and communal areas to a high standard
- Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels and toilet rolls
- Ensure cleaning is carried out in line with health and safety and hygiene regulations
- Undertake emergency cleaning tasks, such as dealing with spillages and bodily fluids
- Report any maintenance issues, damages or health and safety concerns to the appropriate member of staff
- Use cleaning equipment and products safely and correctly
