Clerk to Governing Body (Hart and Rushmoor) HCC621309

Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity has arisen for clerks to join the Governance team at Hampshire County Council providing vital administrative support to our governance boards in schools across Hampshire.

Are you an enthusiastic and committed individual with great organisational and communication skills and experience in meeting administration and minute taking?

If so, and you're looking for a job with flexible, part-time hours, then this could be an excellent role for you.

The Role:
We currently have multiple posts available across all areas of Hampshire. We're especially keen to hear from applicants in the Winchester, East Hants and Hart & Rushmoor areas.

What you'll do:
This is a rewarding and challenging role that will give you the opportunity to support Governors and Trustees across a range of schools to deliver the best outcomes for their pupils.

You will administer and minute board and committee meetings, which are mainly held in the evening, and advise on governance legislation and policy following appropriate training.

What we’re looking for:
You must be able to work under your own initiative, manage deadlines and maintain accurate records. The ability to remain impartial, comply with data protection legislation and maintain confidentiality is essential.

The role is mostly home-based with the flexibility to complete clerking tasks around your existing commitments. However, there is a requirement to travel to the schools to which you are assigned to clerk their governance meetings.

We aim to link you with schools that are close to where you live.

Why join us?
- We offer a comprehensive training programme, mentoring for your first few months in post and on-going support from the governance/clerking team.
- Commitment to your on-going personal and professional development.
- The opportunity to become an integral part of Hampshire’s School Improvement Team.
