Clerk to Governors

Permanent, Part Time – Approximately 80 hours per year

£17.00 per hour

 

Are you an enthusiastic and committed individual with great organisational and communication skills? If so, and you're looking for a job with flexible, part time hours, then this could be an excellent role for you!

This is a rewarding and challenging role that will give you the opportunity to support governors to deliver the best outcomes for the pupils at Woodlands. You will administer and minute meetings, and any extra-ordinary meetings called by either the school or governors; these are mainly held in the evening.  You will advise on governance legislation and policies following appropriate training.

You must be able to work under your own initiative, manage deadlines and maintain accurate records. The ability to remain impartial, comply with data protection legislation and maintain confidentiality is essential. The role is home and school based with the flexibility to complete clerking tasks around your existing commitments. There is a requirement to travel to Woodlands to clerk their governance meetings, we hold our governor meetings every half term. 

We offer full training for the successful candidate and line management by the Chair of Governors.
