Job Introduction
We are seeking to appoint a talented colleague to co-ordinate and develop our marketing and recruitment strategy as well as support to school’s wider HR processes.
There will be some flexibility regarding the hours worked in the role, that may include some home/off site working as agreed with the school, to enable the successful candidate to establish effective links with training providers.
Duties include:
- Lead the annual calendar for marketing and publicity, including oversight of social media & relations with the press
- Lead the development and refining of the School's systems for communication with parents and the wider public all-through
- Work in partnership with senior colleagues and IT support in the ongoing development of the website and other marketing tools
- Design publications for marketing & lead recruitment events and projects
- Develop strong relationships with local press & teacher training providers
- Working alongside a colleague in HR to undertake HR functions and processes in school and Rotherly Day Nursery including new colleague induction.
- Support the Deputy Headteacher in their partnership working with other settings and in relation to recruitment of those joining the teaching profession.
Key skills/knowledge:
- To be highly literate with IT
- Strong and highly effective communication skills
- Ability to write copy for publications and proof-read according to a house style
- Experience of marketing/publicity as well as organising events
- Able to work under pressure - taking the lead when needed and being an effective team member and leader
- Be able to lead a strategy and project delivery
- Have an excellent eye for detail and accuracy
- Be professionally curious and motivated
- Be able to innovate, creative and seek solutions
- Leading school marketing and recruitment events
- Be available to support some evening events by negotiation
- Be prepared to support colleagues in our wider administration team in school where the need arises
- Ideally educated to at least first-degree level with qualifications in HR or Marketing (or working towards)
- A willingness to undertake further professional development opportunities
