If you relish the thought of working with enthusiastic children as part of a close team of people who enjoy their work then we would love to hear from you.

Our friendly, family school is seeking to appoint learning support assistants to work closely with our established teachers in either a Year 1 & 2 class or a Year 5 & 6 class.

Two part-time roles (i.e. 9am to 3.30pm), term-time only, are available on either a permanent or temporary basis. We may be able to accommodate part-time/job-sharing. These positions also include supervision of children at lunchtimes whilst they enjoy playing outside.  If candidates are comfortable with a half-hour lunch break, an additional 30mins per day may be possible (ie 6 hours per day).  Additional hours may also be possible with supporting breakfast club before school from 8am.

These positions would suit energetic, enthusiastic candidates. The roles would be ideal for experienced LSAs looking for new experiences, who perhaps are looking for better job satisfaction.

If you also have experience (and training) of delivering ELSA support, this might be able to be incorporated, for the right candidate.

We are a small, rural Church of England school set in idyllic Hampshire countryside. Our parents are overwhelmingly supportive of the work we do and we are proud of our excellent behaviour, high standards and excellent local reputation.

You could be the right candidate to join our happy, highly motivated team. In our successful ‘Good’ OFSTED in Oct 2022, they praised that ‘Staff’s workload is important to them and leaders. Staff work closely together and support each other well’ – does this sound like somewhere you might be happy working?

Application packs are available from the school. Please telephone (01489) 860355 or email adminoffice@upham.hants.sch.uk

Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged. For more information, please visit our school website www.upham.hants.sch.uk.
