Cover Supervisor Vacancy
We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our friendly, ambitious and dedicated team. The successful candidate will teach and deliver lessons that have been planned by the class teacher, providing whole-class supervision during PPA cover and leadership release time. You will enable pupils to continue their learning by explaining set tasks, maintaining a positive learning environment and promoting high standards of behaviour and engagement.

This role is ideal for someone who is interested in developing a career in education, including those aspiring to train as a teacher in the future. It is also a great opportunity for ECTs who have not yet secured a teaching post and wish to gain further classroom experience.

We are looking for someone who is:
- Positive, nurturing and motivated, with a good sense of humour
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Confident and capable of maintaining a purposeful classroom environment
- Able to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to promote high standards of learning and behaviour
- Teach whole classes, small groups or individual pupils as required
- Committed to promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
- Able to use initiative to support learning and give constructive feedback to staff on pupil progress
- Ambitious for every child to achieve and enjoy their learning
- Educated to GCSE grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
- Experienced in working with children or young people in an educational setting (desirable but not essential)
